Lavender and Lace

For this card I've stamped the Joanna Sheen Lavender Fairy stamp in Black soot distress ink and cloured with ProMarkers, then edged the image with Dusky Concord distress ink. The paper lace at the bottom of the card was from a paper kit I got from Create and Craft years ago! The patterned background card was created using Spellbinders Impressabilities flourish, through a Big Shot using Whitewash Core'dinations card. I then sanded the embossing and around the edge to bring through the core colour.

Distress Inks

Decided to have a play with my distress inks today.
This card uses a waterside cottage stamp from a 'Create a Scene' stamp plate, which I've stamped in Weathered Wood.
Tumbled glass was used to give the effect of water and the image was edged with Faded Jeans. I've also used a little green from Waterfall Big N Juicy ink pad.

Challenges covered:
Crafts 4 eternity: Colour recipe
One stop craft challenge: Card for a male
The stampman challenge: Distressed

A card to brighten a dull and damp day!

The current challenge at Oldie but a goodie challenge blog is 'bright and cheerful' so I made this card to enter.
I've used a Joanna Sheen tulip stamp, stamped with black soot distress ink and coloured in with ProMarkers (Maroon, pink carnation, mustard, lime zest and pear green). The backing paper is a piece of Hunkdory foiled acetate attached with brads and I finished the card with a punched border strip (Martha stewart punch), which I colour tinted with Hydrenga Big N Juicy ink pad, and then added a ribbon and sentiment.

I'm also entering this card into the I love promarkers challenge - Punches.

Forever Friends

The colour theme of this card is Blue, Brown and White - inspired by the current challenge at Creative inspirations. The image has been decoupaged and mounted onto a star frame from the Nellie Snellen dies range. The poka dot paper and sentiment are from my stash.

I'm also entering this card into the challenges at Forever friends challenge blog -theme card for man or boy ( I chose boy) and One stop craft challenge - theme card for a child.

First cards for 2011

It's been a long time since I posted but just not had chance over the last month or so.

This first card uses an image and border from the Crafter's Companion Popcorn Platinum CD. The image has been decoupaged slightly and glossy accents added to highlight the heart on the blanket.

The background has been created using a cuttlebug embossing folder through my Big Shot machine (that I was lucky enough to get as a Christmas present). I've gently gone over the raised dots with Barn Door distress ink to add colour.

 Challenges covered:

cd sunday challenge: New to you
Polly craft challenge blog: New Things
Cupcake craft challenges: Something New
