Christmas Tree
First Christmas card of 2011!! This card was inspired by a new challenge blog that I have just recently come across called Sparkles forum christmas challenge who's challenge is 'Christmas Tree'.
I've used a Christmas tree embossing folder through my Big Shot, using Core'dinations whitewash card stock. I then sanded the embossed tree to reveal the coloured core. Simply matted and layered onto green cardstock and gold mirror silk board. The backing paper is from a My Minds Eye Christmas paper pad I have and I've edged it with Gold Calligraphy pen and embossed the greeting with gold embossing powder.

Easel card - spring theme
I started this card playing around with cut n dry foam and Vibrant Primary Big n Juicy ink pad on a square of watercolour card. I then used a Touch of mica mask - Tulip and sprayed with Cosmic shimmer mist - Plum over the inked background. I than stamped over with a swirl stamp and embossed with a purple cosmic shimmer embossing powder and then swipped a versamark ink pad along the edges of the watercolour card and embossed with blue cosmic shimmer embossing powder. This then became the background to my card, which has been layed onto a square of paper punched with Martha Stewart 'punch around the page' flower punch.
The flower images is a stamp from Joanna Sheen - Jayne Netley Meyhew Rabbit stamp plate, embossed with cosmic shimmer again and coloured with ProMarkers. The base of the easel card was created the same way as the background but I inked through the mask with Hydrangea Big n Juicy rather than using the spray. The flowers on the base edge were the left over bits from when I punch out my page border and I just added some stickles to the centre of the flowers.

Card for a man
The current challenge at Bearly mine-challenges is a card for a man or a boy. I decided to use Sheena Douglass's a little bit Sketchy - Cottage stamp, which was stamped using Brushed Courduroy Distress ink and layed onto co-ordinating cardstock. The backing paper was made using an Impressabilities embossing die through the Big Shot onto some textured paper (that I got in a kit from Create and Craft). I then inked over the embossing with Black Soot Distress Ink and then sprayed with Bronze Cosmic shimmer mist, to bring our the brown tones in the paper.
Also going to enter this card into Pear tree designs for their 'Anything Goes' challenge.

This card is based on the sketch from the current challenge at Sweet stampin challenge .
